LaShars Studio Policies

  • ​STUDENT CONDUCT:
  • Every student here is a member of our dance family! We are friends on and off the dance floor. We support each other, cheer for each other, help each other, and care for each other. 
  • We care about how our studio is represented. In the studio or at performances we will behave with curtesty and respect.
  • Regular attendance is required to hold place in class.
  • Arrive on time.
  • No food, drinks, or gum in the studio
  • Wear appropriate dance clothing and shoes to class and pull hair away from face.
  • Leave toys at home.
  • Use the restroom before class
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude and give your best effort in class.
  • Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.
  • Treat teachers and fellow students with respect. 
  • NO PHONES IN CLASS! No group texting will be allowed unless a teacher is included in the group.

Parent Responsibilities:

  • Please have your children to class on time, and pick them up immediately following class. Children should not be left unattended int he waiting room.
  • Saafety first! Please use the proper entrance and exists in the parking lot and do not park along the side of the building or block the exits.
  • Please take or encourage your dancer to use the bathroom before class. Dancers must be potty trained and able to use the bathroom by themselves. 
  • Please label dance shoes and gear with your student's name.
  • Please make sure your child is wearing dance clothing and shoes to class. Please send them with clean dry socks for the mats. Do not send them with toys from home.
  • Please call in absences. We do not offer make up classes. Students absent the week of a performance can not participate in that weeks performance.
  • Please encourage practice at home.
  • Please do not send food, drinks, toys, or cell phones to class. Water bottles filled only with water are allowed.
  • Please be respectful in the lobby area by keeping voices  and sitting quietly. Children may not be left unattended in the lobby.
  • Please check your student's bag for handouts each week. Check the Facebook page or website for newsletters, updated information, schedules and events.
  • Please pay accounts on time. Late fees will be issued on overdue accounts.
  • Observation is allowed the first lesson of each month during the last fifteen minutes of class. *Videotaping of class is not allowed without the teacher's permission. Dancers must be old enough to attend class without parents.
